Owner/Manager

Jason Wyatt is a lifelong resident of West Alabama, and the proud owner of Norwood-Wyatt Chapel Funeral Home. With 34 years of experience in the funeral service industry, Jason has devoted his career to serving families.

Jason’s journey in funeral service began in 1991 at Hayes Chapel Funeral Home in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, where he developed a deep passion for helping families during their most difficult times. 

In December 2015, Jason joined Norwood-Wyatt Chapel, becoming part owner alongside Tommy Norwood. By 2021, he became the full owner, a role he considers both a privilege and an honor. Jason remains deeply committed to providing personalized, compassionate care to every family the chapel serves.

A graduate of Tuscaloosa County High School, Jason went on to attend Bevill State Community College and Jefferson State Community College, where he earned his Funeral Service and Mortuary Science Degree. He is a Licensed Funeral Director, Licensed Embalmer, and Licensed Pre-Need Sales Agent in the State of Alabama.

Jason also served on the Alabama Board of Funeral Service for six years, where he helped uphold the highest professional and ethical standards within the industry.

He is an active member of the Alabama Funeral Directors Association where he served as President, Current Chair of the Legislative Committee, and Vice Chair of the Funeral Trust of Alabama, Sigma Phi Sigma Fraternity, Knights of Columbus, Holy Spirit Catholic Church, the Tuscaloosa Business Exchange, and the ARC Board for Fayette, Lamar, and Marion Counties.

Outside of his professional life, Jason is engaged to Buffy Johnston and is a proud father to three daughters, Mary Grace, Avery, and Emma Wyatt, and one grandson, Rilee. His family, faith, and community are at the heart of everything he does.

At Norwood-Wyatt Chapel, Jason leads with compassion and dedication, ensuring every family receives the respect, care, and personal attention they deserve.


Will Aaron

Will Aaron

Assistant Manager

Will Aaron is a lifelong resident of Fayette, Alabama, and proudly serves as the Assistant Manager at Norwood-Wyatt Chapel Funeral Home. Will is married to his high school sweetheart, Hanna Aaron, and is the son of John and Tina Aaron. He is also a devoted member of Fayette First Baptist Church.

A graduate of Fayette County High School, Will finished with honors in 2021. After high school, he attended Bevill State Community College for three semesters before continuing his education at Jefferson State Community College, where he earned his Funeral Service and Mortuary Science Degree.

In January 2023, Will successfully passed his National Board Exams, qualifying him for national licensure in funeral service. He also completed specialized training to become a Licensed Cremationist in the State of Alabama, and later obtained his Pre-Need Sales Agent License.

Will began his journey with Norwood-Wyatt Chapel on November 2, 2018, and through hard work and dedication, he has become an essential part of the team. Known for his professionalism and caring nature, Will is honored to serve families in his hometown community.

Outside of work, Will is mostly outdoors. While many recognize him in a suit serving families, he enjoys spending his free time working with his horses and cattle, helping on the family sod farm, and pursuing his passion for hunting and fishing.

Tommy Norwood

Tommy Norwood

Former Owner

Tommy Norwood was born in Fort Payne, Alabama, the son of Augustus T. and Marcie Norwood. A licensed funeral director and licensed practical embalmer, Tommy learned the art of embalming and funeral service under the guidance of his father. He began his funeral service career in Guin, Alabama, before moving to Fayette in 1977 to become the manager of Norwood Chapel.

With over 50 years of experience in the funeral profession, Tommy has dedicated his life to serving families with compassion and professionalism. He is a past president of the Alabama Funeral Directors Association and served as Coroner of Fayette County for 16 years.

Tommy has also been an active member of his community. He is a former president of the Fayette Jaycees, a past chairman of the Fayette County Heart Association Fund Drive, and a member and former president of the Fayette Exchange Club. In addition, he is a proud member of the Kiwanis Club of Fayette and Fayette First Baptist Church.

Now the former owner of Norwood-Wyatt Chapel, Tommy enjoys spending time with his family and playing golf, though he remains available to lend assistance whenever needed.


Doug Stephenson

Assistant Funeral Director

Doug Stephenson has been a valued member of the Norwood-Wyatt Chapel team since 2006, where he serves as an Assistant Funeral Director. Known for his kindness, professionalism, and strong faith, Doug brings comfort and compassion to every family he serves.

Before joining Norwood-Wyatt Chapel, Doug worked for Dale Tile for 26 years, where he built a reputation for his dedication and work ethic.

A lifelong resident of Fayette, Alabama, Doug takes great pride in serving the community he calls home. He and his wife, Debra, are devoted members of Life Point Ministries.

Doug is the proud father of two wonderful children, Sonya Ballew and Chad Stephenson, both of whom have grown into caring adults and loving parents. Family and faith remain at the heart of everything Doug does.

Doug’s genuine compassion and steady presence make him a true blessing to the families of Norwood-Wyatt Chapel, and an important part of our team.

Evan Sexton

Evan Sexton

Assistant Funeral Director

Evan Sexton is a resident of Fayette, Alabama, and the son of Hunter and Donta Sexton. He is currently attending Fayette County High School and will graduate in the spring of 2027. Evan joined the Norwood-Wyatt Chapel team in January 2025, where he plays an important role in assisting with funeral set-ups and providing support wherever needed. Outside of his work at the funeral home, Evan keeps busy mowing lawns and helping with various jobs throughout the community. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with family and friends, fishing, and hunting.

Tucker Scott

Tucker Scott is currently a student at Fayette County High School, where he will graduate with honors in the spring of 2026. He is the son of Chris and Tori Scott. Tucker plays an important role at Norwood-Wyatt Chapel, assisting wherever he is needed—particularly with funeral services and the installation of vaults. Outside of work, Tucker enjoys hunting and spending time with his friends and family. He joined the Norwood-Wyatt family in August 2025 and has been a valued member ever since.

Clayton Crawford is a resident of Fayette, Alabama, and currently attends Fayette County High School, where he will graduate in the spring of 2027. Clayton is son to Casey and Jamie Crawford. He joined the Norwood-Wyatt Funeral Home team in March 2025 and plays an important role in assisting with funeral set-ups and related services. Outside of work, Clayton enjoys fishing, hunting, and spending time with family and friends.

Holly Goff

Apprentice Funeral Director/Embalmer

Holly Goff is a resident of Fayette, Alabama, originally from Berry. She graduated with honors from Berry High School in 2014 and went on to attend Bevill State Community College. After completing her studies at Bevill, Holly worked as a Body Art Operator at Everlasting Ink in Fayette.

Holly is married to Colten Pollard, and together they have one son, Elijah Pollard. She is currently pursuing her Funeral Service and Mortuary Science degree at Jefferson State Community College.

Holly is a valued member of the Norwood-Wyatt Chapel team, where she provides excellent assistance during funeral services with compassion and professionalism. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family. We are proud to have Holly as part of our staff at Norwood-Wyatt Chapel.
