Kevin was born and raised in Fayette, AL. He was very well known by his nickname “52” which was started by his classmates at a very early age. He was also known for always putting a smile on everyone’s faces and made sure when he was around that everyone had a good time. He was a proud husband and father of two girls and spent all of his time working hard to provide for them. In 1991, he began working at the Fayette Cotton Mill until 2002, when it was shut down. After that, he became a full-time employee at the Fayette County Water Authority, until August of 2023 where he retired. In his free time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and taking care of Davis Creek Farm. He was a proud supporter of Holly during her of six years of playing school and travel volleyball, and made sure every call by the refs was correct even if that meant getting threw out of the gym. Kevin was also just as supportive to Sarah during her eight years of school and playing travel softball. He coached five years of travel softball, winning many tournaments and enjoying every minute of it. Every Saturday in the fall he would be found cooking and watching Alabama Football, and he was known for being a very dedicated fan. He spent the last three years battling Cirrhosis of the Liver but never let it keep him from doing the things he loved the most, even on his worst days. Kevin was a light to everyone who knew him and he will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
