Wanda Kimbrell age 74, of Fayette, passed away on Monday, September 11, at her residence. Graveside service for Mrs. Kimbrell will be Friday, September 15, at Fayette Memorial Gardens, at 12:00 P.M. There will be a visitation one hour prior at Norwood-Wyatt Chapel. Bro. Ricky Phillips will be officiating the service.

Mrs. Kimbrell is preceded in death by her parents; Sherman Richard Madison, and Ester Louise Madison, brothers; R.L Madison, Wayne Madison, and Troy Madison, sisters; Martha Lou Whittaker, and Linda Sue Acosta.

She is survived by her husband; James “Jim” Kimbrell of Fayette, Daughters, Sharon Detres(Owen) of Fayette, and Candace Swindle(Kieth) of Fayette, grandsons; Kyle Strickland of Fayette, Hunter Detres of Fayette, Ashton Odom of Fayette, and Mason Smith of Berry, and a great-grandson; Kaysn Strickland of Fayette.

Wanda Kimbrell was born on January 4, 1949, in Walker County to Richard and Louise Madison. Sixteen short years later she got married to the love of her life Jim Kimbrell. They had two daughters that she loved dearly. Mrs. Kimbrell lived a long happy and loving life with her husband and two children being their homemakers. Everyone who knew her loved her. The daughters say she resembles a walking angel on Earth. She will be missed dearly by her family.

The pallbearers will be Ashton Odom, Mason Smith, Andy Strickland, Krissa Comer, Frank Comer, and Jamie Whittaker.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Katelyn Williams, Candace Franks, Nicole Kelly, Amy Guthery, Zack Isom, Jane Benton, and Bonnie Marcum all are with Enhabit Hospice Care. The other Honorary Pallbearers are with Home Health, and they are Kristen Moore, Sherry Frost, Kristina Harris, Emily Gilliand, and Rachel Lay.
