Mrs. Virginia Bowles, age 88 of Bankston Alabama, passed away on Saturday, November 25, 2023, at UAB Hospital of Birmingham. Services for Mrs. Bowles will be on Wednesday, November 29, 2023, at 2:00 pm. At New Liberty Freewill Baptist Church. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to service time at the church. Bro. Adam Smith and Bro. Darren Pollard will be officiating the service. Norwood-Wyatt Chapel Funeral Home will be directing the service.

Mrs. Virginia is preceded in death by her husband; Theodore Bowles, son; Allen Bowles, parents; Marion D. Moore and Belvia Kimbrell Moore, brothers, Jesse Moore, Elvin Moore, and David Moore, and sisters; Blonnie Mae Moore, and Lois Hamilton.

She is survived by her daughter; Patricia (John) Sowins of Fayette, son; Dennis (Vickie Atkins) Bowles of Bankston, sister; Melba Moore Sims of Fayette, grandchildren; Amanda (Daniel) Miller, Tonya (Chad) Nichols, Leisha (Kevin) Crumpton, Eric (Mary Margret) Bowles, Jessica (Jerod) Dunavant, Brad (Brittney) Bowles, and Kaycee (Stephen) Rogers, and great grandchildren; Christian Miller, Payton Miller, Chase Nichols, Zoey Nichols, Anna Kate Crumpton, Ella Brooke Crumpton, Jackson Bowles, McKinley Bowles, Gracie Bowles, Sawyer Bowles, Eli Rogers, and Emily Rogers.

Virginia Bowles was born May 30, 1935, in the Cedar Grove Community, where she resided her entire life. She graduated from Berry High School in 1953. She was married to Theodore on June 12, 1954, in Columbus MS. She worked at Sterilon Inc. for 27 years. She was a homemaker and loved doing flower arrangements and working in her flower beds. She loved cooking and having her family close, especially at Holidays.

Pallbearers will be Derann Roby, Mark Brasher, Randall Moore, Chase Nichols, Kenneth Mahoney, and Jerod Dunavant.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Jerry McCluskey, Eli Rogers, Jackson Bowles, and Eric Bowles.

In Lieu of Flowers please make donations to Cedar Grove/Moore Fellowship Hall.
