Verdeen Watkins

Verdeen Watkins, age 101 of Bankston passed away December 22, 2021 at home. Services will be Sunday, December 26, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Cleveland Church of Christ. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Orville Watkins. Survivors making up five generations include one daughter, Martha Sue Simmons; grandson, Russell Simmons (Denise); granddaughter, Rene Lowery (David); great-granddaughters, Jessica Simmons Mitchell (James), Ashton McGill (Patrick), Peyton Baus (Phil), great-grandson, Jacob Simmons, great-great-grandsons, Luke Mitchell, Levi Mitchell, and Maverick McGill; and great-great-granddaughter, Malie McGill; nephew, Dale Watkins (Mary); nieces, Marie Sims and Patsy Baird (Richard); and a special niece, Linda Ferguson.
