Terrill Rogers

September 22, 1951 — March 13, 2021

Terrill Clay Rogers, age 69 of Northport peacefully entered into the presence of the Lord on March 13, 2021. Services will be Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Mt. Olive Baptist Church with Rev. Harold Donald and Rev. Randy Beard officiating and Norwood-Wyatt Chapel directing. Burial will follow at Phillips Chapel Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Rich and Appie Rogers and Mr. and Mrs. Thad Lowery; parents, James Clayton and Nota Rogers; brothers, Reynolds Rogers, Bobby Rogers and Billy Rogers; sisters, Doris Drummond and Joann Bailey; Survivors include his sisters, Molly Rogers, Polly Phillips, Merrill Donald (Harold) and Shirley Reach; special nephew Eddie Rogers; and his best friend, Gloria Ellis; and a host of nieces and nephews. Terrill was a Funeral Director and served many families in West Alabama for over thirty years. He served his country in the Marines. On any Saturday during football season if he wasn’t working a funeral you could find him watching Alabama football. Pallbearers will be Jason Wyatt, Jeff Donald, Jonathan Donald, Jerry Brown, Scott Trimm, and Joel Medders. Honorary pallbearers are friends and neighbors of Mt. Olive community and members of The Salvation Army, Ray Drummond and Jason and Stephanie Wyatt. The family would like to give a special thank you to the Mt. Olive volunteer fire department and to all of his healthcare providers during his long illness especially Oasis Hospice.
