Shirley Faye Roberts

December 27, 1945 — January 13, 2020

Shirley Faye Roberts, age 74, of Fayette, passed away Monday, January 13, 2020 at home. Services will be Thursday, January 16, 2019 at Norwood Wyatt Chapel at 11:30 a.m. with Brother Willie Ragsdale officiating. Burial will follow at Gibson Hill Cemetery.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Mrs. Roberts was preceded in death by her husband, David Hunter Roberts; parents, Burlas and Gracie Davis Thacker; and brother, Larry Dale Thacker. She is survived by her daughter, Rhonda Sprinkle (Roger) of Belk; son, John Roberts (Candice) of Scooba, MS; brother, Ray Thacker (Bonnie) of Berry; sisters, Ada Strickland (Robert) of Pinson and Debra Busby of Berry; grandchildren, Felicia Sprinkle (Codie Staley) of Fayette, Hunter Sprinkle (Shayla) of Townley, Karlie Roberts of Bankston, Konner Roberts of Scooba, Walker Roberts of Scooba, MS and Eli and Brody Weaver of Scooba, MS; great grandchildren, Lizzy Nabors and Aleigha Nabors of Fayette, and Taylon and Ella Sprinkle of Townley, and very dear and special friends, Boyd and Ruth Stough of Belk. Shirley Thacker Roberts made her entrance into heaven on January 13, 2020. She resided in the Belk community. Shirley was born on December 27, 1945, the first of five children born to Burlas and Gracie Thacker. She was a member of Belk Worship Center. Shirley’s greatest goal in life was to be a faithful child of God and she was victorious! Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Hunter Sprinkle, Ernie Nabors, Codie Staley and nephews, Michael Thacker, Josh Thacker, and Andy Craft.
