Ruth Deavours

Ruth Marion Deavours (1931-2018) born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, March 31st, 1931, passed away peacefully on August 19, 2018 at her home in Bankston, Alabama, surrounded by her children, Debbie (Deavours) Garcia, Sandra (Deavours) Pujol and Louis Guy Deavours II. There will be a graveside service Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Cleveland Church of Christ Cemetery. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Louis Guy Deavours.  In addition to her children, she is survived by grandsons, Antonio M. Garcia III, Frank D. Pujol, Darius L. Deavours; granddaughters, Rachel Leigh (Pujol) Jackson and Jerisha D. (Deavours) Dunaway; great grandson, Keane A. Garcia; great-granddaughters, Sophia Pujol, Bella Jackson, Ezri Jackson as well as son-in-laws, Antonio M. Garcia and Ruben Pujol. A loving wife and mother who selflessly devoted her life to her family and especially her children. Ruth was a role model for her children and grandchildren and instilled in them strong moral values and principles to pass on to their own children.  She was a supportive wife who deeply loved her husband Guy and they together formed a strong bond and set a foundation for their children’s success.  She will be missed.  May God hold her and keep her in his warm embrace.
