Robert Brendlinger Jr., age 83, of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, passed away on Monday, March 23, 2026, at his residence. There will be a Memorial Service Mass on Friday, March 27, 2026, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, at 4:00 p.m. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time. Inurnment will follow in the Church Columbarium. Father Michael Deering will be officiating the Mass. Norwood-Wyatt Chapel will be directing the service.

Mr. Bob was born on February 3, 1943, in Philadelphia, PA to the late Robert and Harriet Brendlinger.

He is survived by his beloved bride of 59 years; Theresa Julia Brendlinger, his children; Tracey L. Raines and Robert N. Brendlinger III, daughter in law; Rhiannon, and his grandson; Owen Raines.

Robert loved his family very much and had just joined the Catholic Church before his death. Even though he just joined the Church he enjoyed going to mass at Holy Spirit with his family for over 50 years.

He loved watching and predicting the weather very much and would let his family and friends know when bad weather was coming. He had the ultimate “green thumb” and his favorite hobby was taking care of his yard and all his house plants. He enjoyed the swimming pool at the PARA facilities, being at the beach, and swimming in the ocean. He also delighted in walking around the neighborhood and talking with his neighbors whom he loved very much. He adored his children very much and spent all his free time with his family. He especially enjoyed being with grandson Owen. When his daughter Tracey was in high school and in college he traveled to watch all her games when not working. He also spent countless hours catching up with his son over the phone daily after Bobby moved to Knoxville nine years ago. Later in life he made sure his wife Theresa was taken care of as she got older and couldn’t get around as well as she used too. He will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him.
