Rachel Wages

Rachel Wages, age 77 of Winfield, passed away Saturday, September 29, 2018 at Fayette Long Term Care. Services will be Friday, October 5, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Norwood-Wyatt Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Marlin Mayfield and Rev. Pat West officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Sand Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. Rachel is survived by her brother-in-law, Greg Wages (Linda); sister-in-law, Mary Lou Smith; nephew, Eric Smith (Bonnie), and their children, Sam Smith and Erica Smith; niece, Angie Steiner (Greg), and their children, Sara Willis, niece, Candace Ledbetter (Kevin), children, Colby Ellis, Presley Ellis and Elijah Ellis, nephew, David Wages (Karisa) and their children, Jacob Wages, Gabriella Wages, and John Samuel Wages; niece, Heather Wages Tucker (Darrell) and their children, Asher William Tucker and Eden Rayne Tucker; special neighbor and friends, Wanda O’Mary, Debra West, and Linda Birmingham. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clifton and Geneva Smith; husband, George Wages; and two brothers, Clifford Arvil Smith and Hershel Dale Smith. She worked many years at the cotton mill, and she was a lifelong resident of Fayette County. And a member of Sand Springs Baptist Church.Honorary pallbearer is the Fayette Medical Center Long Term Care staff.
