Paul McCraw, age 52 of Hubbertville, passed away Friday, April 23, 2021. Services will be Sunday, April 25, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Berea Church of Christ with Mr. Jerry Dozier and Mr. Russ McDonald officiating. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow the service in the church cemetery. Mr. McCraw was preceded in death by his grandparents, Verlon J. Dozier and Nannie Bee Dozier; grandmother, Florence Flynn Tucker; uncles, James Dozier and Jacky Dozier; and special friends, Jeremey Porter and Jeffrey Kirkley. He is survived by his wife, Brandy Nicole McCraw; daughters, Katelyn Sianna Ginther (Charles) of Twin, Mallory Brooke McCraw (Jacob Hammack) of Jasper, Savanna Brooke McCraw of Hubbertville, Natalie McCraw and stepdaughters, Aisha Marie Nasser and Aliya Nicole Nasser both of Hubbertville; son, Aiden Ray McCraw and stepson, Zachary Saleem Nasser; sister, Deborah Sue Phillips (Terry) of Carbon Hill; brother, Matthew Brian McCraw (Belinda) of Hubbertville; parents, Bobbie Sue McCraw and Billy Ray McCraw of Hubbertville; grandson, Kylan Elliot Ginther; nieces, Ashley McCraw Grace (Larry) of Tuscaloosa, Brittany Faith Bray, Elizabeth Faye McCraw and Jennifer Davidson (Joel); nephews, Micheal Brian McCraw (Sabrina), Kristopher Tyler McCraw, Justin Reed Jones, and John Curtis Jones (Christy); and a host of other family and friends. Paul was a faithful Christian, a loving husband, a devoted father, and friend to many, many people. He has been a lifelong citizen of the Hubbertville community. As a young adult, he opened his own shop and worked several years as a mechanic. He spent several years as a welder at King Kutter. He proudly served in both Hubbertville and Glen Allen fire departments for a total of 21 years. Several of those years he spent as fire chief of each station and helped form several fundraisers including “Fill the Boot”. He devoted a lot of his life trying to serve his community. He loved many things in life but most importantly, he loved his family. Pallbearers are Charles Ginther, Jacob Hammack, Randall Dozier, Casey Tidwell, John Jones, Mikey McCraw, Matthew McCraw, and Andy Dozier. Honorary pallbearers are Kristopher McCraw, the Hubbertville Fire Department, and the Glen Allen Fire Department.
