Patricia Ann Bailey

Patricia Ann Bailey, age 81 of Huntersville N.C., passed away on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at her residence. Service for Ms. Bailey will be Sunday, May 25, 2025, at Flatwoods Baptist Church, at 2:00 p.m. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. Rev. Lynell Early will be officiating the service. Norwood-Wyatt Chapel will be directing the service.

Patricia is preceded in Death by her husband; Major Bailey, son; Rodney Bailey, daughter; Kathy Bailey, mother; Cora Busby, father; Arthur Busby, sisters; Vera Smith and Kathryn Barnes, and brother; Larry Busby.

She is survived by her daughter; Cheryl Smith (Steve), Daughter-In-Law; Tina Bailey, sister; Jean Buxton, grandchildren; Kevin Smith (Andrea), Rodney Bailey, Amber Bailey, Jonathan Bailey (Andrea), Krystal Bailey, Katie Kaderabek, 11 Great Grandchildren, and 2 Great-Great Grandchildren.

Born in Dora, Alabama her family like others moved north as she would say to “get rich”. She attended school and church in Chicago, IL where she met and married her love of 59 years (Rev, Major Bailey). Together they raised a family, pastored churches and worked together at Crane Packing company until they retired and moved back to Berry Alabama to enjoy their “golden years” as she would say.

A loving spouse, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, sister, aunt to many nieces and nephews and friend.
Thank you for the love, support, many great dinners and memories.

Pallbearers will be Kevin Smith, Rodney Bailey, Amber Bailey, Jonathan Bailey, Krystal Bailey, Katie Kaderabek.
