Merle Yerby

Merle Ruth Hocutt Yerby, age 95 of Berry passed away October 23, 2018 at home.  Services will Friday, October 26, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. at Norwood-Wyatt Chapel with Rev. Ed Steelman and Rev. Kenneth Bozeman officiating. The body will lie in state from 2:00 - 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Berry. Visitation will be Thursday, October 25, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. She was preceded in death by her father, Troy Carlos Hocutt; mother, Florence Ethel Swinney Hocutt; husband, William E. Yerby; and six brothers and sisters. She is survived by sons, Bobby G. Yerby (Shelby J.) and Carl E. Yerby (Teresa K.); sister, Ivy Mae Grzala; and grandchildren, Darren E. Yerby, Bobby A. Yerby, Laura J. Bagwell, Jamie D. Raynes and Hasumi Lambert.Pallbearers are Laura Bagwell, Darren Yerby, Bobby Goff, Byron Yerby, Greg Fanin, Larry Woods, Philip Cunningham, and Todd Bagwell.
