Mary Lucille Cockrell

Mary Lucille Cockrell, age 91 of Gordo, passed away at Glen Haven Nursing Home on Saturday, June 13, 2020. There will be a graveside service Tuesday, June 16, 2020 at Mesopotamia Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Brian Moon officiating. She was preceded in death by her parents, Collier and Leona Strickland; husband, John Robert Cockrell, Jr.; and sisters, Olene Burroughs and Nina Driver. Mrs. Cockrell is survived by her daughter, Ann Cockrell (Reggie); son, Kenton Cockrell (Kathy); grandchildren, Chad Lake, Brittany Bell (Jason), Dustin Lake, and Kaitlin Cockrell; and great-grandchild, Amilia Lake. Honorary pallbearers are Comfort Care Hospice and the nursing staff, and Always There In-Home Care, and Brittani Blackston. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Comfort Care Hospice.
