Martha Files, age 84, of Fayette passed away Sunday, November 5, 2017. Services will be Tuesday, November 6, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Norwood-Wyatt Chapel with Rev. Randy Anderson officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Pilgrims Rest Baptist Church Cemetery. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Files; parents, Jabe and Nora Gant; brothers, Nolan Gant, Bill Gant and Wayne Gant; sisters, Maureen Gant and Imo Jenkins. Martha is survived by her daughters, Rosita Stoker (Gaillard) and Karen Hayes (Stan); sons, Randy Cone (Lorraine); sisters, Inez Traweek and Charlene Carey (Melvin); grandchildren, Mandy Sabbagh, Jamie Hayes, Krista Smitherman and Randy Cone; and five great-grandchildren. Pallbearers are Jamie Hayes, Stan Hayes, Garth Sabbagh, Clay Stoker, Michael Stoker and Gaillard Stoker. Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Fred Yerby, a special thanks to all staff and employees on 600 Wing at FMC Long Term Care.
