Mariana Elisa Maldonado

Mariana Elisa Maldonado, age 12 of Tuscaloosa, AL, passed away on Sunday, June 08, 2025, in Tuscaloosa, AL. Service for Ms. Mariana will be Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Bethel Presbyterian Church cemetery. Norwood-Wyatt Chapel will be directing the service.

Mariana is preceded in death by grandmother; Simona Andablo, grandfather; Lucino Trejo, great grandmother; Hilda Reed and great grandfather; William Hamner.

She is survived by father; Zosimo Maldonado, mother; Felisitas Hamner, sisters; Lili-Anna Hamner and Nayeli Maldonado, grandmother; Wanda Hamner, grandfather; Andres Maldonado, aunts; Wendy, Claudia, Chelsea, Victoria, Cristina, Carla, Areli, Monserath, Esperanza and Esther, uncles; Wade, Dillan, Bruce, Aurelio, Jose Venancio, Prudencio, Pedro, Gerardo, Jose, Javier, Aquilino, Victor, Honorio, Juan Pablo, Alejandro and Juan Diego and many cousins.

Mariana was born on September 26, 2012 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama to Zosimo Maldonado and Felisitas Hamner. Mari resided in Coker, AL. She was known for her kind heart, over the top personality and sassiness. Mariana enjoyed spending time with her friends, watching scary movies and being with family. She had a talent for always being direct with no filter. She was fierce and always willing to try new things. Mari loved makeup and self care. Mari was always bright and always had her family laughing. You never knew what she would do next but always had us laughing. She loved to shop! She will be missed dearly by her family and friends.

Pallbearers include Aurelio Gutierrez, Honorio Maldonado, Juan Pablo Maldonado, Miguel Maldonado, Bruce Fields and Marcelino Resendiz. 

The family requests that all flowers and notes be sent to Holy Spirit Catholic Church.
