Lula B. Brown

Lula B. Brown, age 87 of Berry, Alabama, passed away on Wednesday, October 01, 2025, at Baptist Health Walker Hospital. The family will have a private service. Norwood-Wyatt Chapel will be directing the service.

Lula is preceded in death her husband; James Brown, and parents; Victor and Katie Panter.

She is survived by her daughter; Robin (Don) Martin of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, sons; Thomas (Sharon) King of Berry, Alabama, and Michael (Cindy) King of Jasper, Alabama, sister; Johnnie Collins of Berry, Alabama, and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.

Lula graduated high school at Pea Ridge in Berry, Alabama. After high school she worked at a café in Fayette, Alabama. Then, for a brief period of time, she went to Chicago, Illinois, where she met James Panter and later got married. After getting married, they returned back to Fayette. She worked and retired from the garment plant. She was a faithful member at Pea Ridge Church of Christ. Lula will be missed dearly by her family and friends.
