Linda Jones

Linda Faye Jones, age 69 of Kennedy, passed away Sunday, October 22, 2017 at home. Services will be Friday, October 27, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Kennedy Baptist Church with Keith Martin officiating. Visitation will be Friday, October 27, 2017 from 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. at the church. Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Elbert Matthews and Lola Matthews; nephew, Kevin Matthew; brother, Paul Matthews; grandparents, Rosa and John Corner and Mary and William Matthews. She is survived by her daughters, Debra Matthews of Kennedy and Linda Lou Mordecai of Gordo; sisters, Ruth Sullivan of Kennedy, Rosa Alloway of Fayette, Betty White of Caledonia, MS, Shirley Blanton of Columbus, MS and Doris Lockhart of Jasper; brothers, Millard Matthews of Caledonia, MS, Dillard Matthews of Vernon, Kenneth Matthews of Fayette, Samuel Matthews of Fayette; grandchildren, Matthew and Nicholas Mordecai of Gordo; great grandchildren, Trevor Mordecai of Gordo, Brandi Gann and Jordyn Mordecai.
