Leola Porter Vowell, age 89, of Winfield, Alabama, passed away on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at North Mississippi Medical Center. Services for Mrs. Vowell will be at Norwood-Wyatt Chapel Funeral Home on Monday, April 27th, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time. Burial will follow at Spring Hill Cemetery. Rev. Mark Thornton and Rev. Billy Carl Sullivan will be officiating the service. Norwood-Wyatt Chapel will be directing the service.

Leola is preceded in death by her husband; Robert Vowell, parents; James Franklin and Rosa Porter, brother; Johnny Porter, bother-in-law's; Charles Wright, W.C. Averett, and Coy Gann, 2 nephews and 4 nieces.

She is survived by her brothers; William Earl Porter, Billy Porter (Angela), and Jessie L. (Glennette) Porter Jr., sisters; Frankie Gann and Elaine McKinley (Marvin), sister-in-law; Mary Lou Porter, stepsons; Ricky Vowell and Lloyd Vowell along with several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Leola was born in Tuscaloosa County Alabama on July 2nd, 1936. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
