Kenneth Ray Gilbert

Kenneth Ray Gilbert, age 87 of Bankston, passed away Sunday, September 30, 2018. Services will be Thursday, October 4, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Norwood-Wyatt Chapel Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Freeman officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Scuffle Grit Cemetery in Twin, Alabama. He was preceded in death by his wife, Johnnie Faye Gilbert; parents, Carlos and Nelladean Gilbert; son, Danny Gilbert; grandson, Jadi Gilbert; and siblings Almus Gilbert, Jerry Gilbert, Virginia Jett and Willie Gilbert. Kenneth is survived by his daughter Donna Gilbert Jones of Northport, grandchildren Johnathan Mark (Jenni) Gilbert, Kenneth Gilbert, Eric Jones, Jennifer Gilbert, Jessica Jones and Joey Smith (Jessica); Seven Great grandchildren: Grace Lightstep, Autumn Jones, Aubrey Jones, Jackson Burton, Axel Jones, Karah Jones, and Lyla Jones; brother David Gilbert of Huntsville and special friends Lisa Bryant of Fayette and Gordon Thompson of Vernon.
