Joseph Phillips

Joseph Randall “Randy” Phillips, age 62 of Northport, passed away Thursday, September 29, 2022 at DCH Regional Medical Center. Services for Mr. Phillips will be Monday, October 3, 2022 at New Hope Baptist Church at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be one hour prior and burial will follow at New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Dorothy Phillips; and son, Scotty Phillips. Mr. Phillips is survived by his wife, Lisa Mane Phillips; daughter, Brandi Adams; son, Adam Phillips; brother, Dale Phillips; and several cousins, aunts, and uncles. Randy was born January 13, 1960, in Tuscaloosa. He attended and graduate Northside County High School. Randy was honored and proud to serve his country in the United States Navy for fifteen years. He loved the Lord, his church and his family. He also enjoyed meeting new people and never met a stranger. Randy will be deeply missed. Pallbearers are Kenny Smith, Steve Smith, Kelvin Smith, Don Smith, Ryan Phillips, and Brad Phillips. Honorary pallbearers are Zola Wilder, Julius Peruni, the Samantha Volunteer Fire Department, the Montgomery Volunteer Fire Department, DaVita of Fayette, Enhabit health Care, Erin Wilcox, Daphne Goins, Kristi Jones, Amber Horton, and Howie Jones. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Samantha Volunteer Fire Department, the Montgomery Volunteer Fire Department or the New Hope Baptist Church Building Fund.
