Johnny Crawford

Johnny Crawford, age 70 of Northport, AL, passed away on Monday, June 02, 2025, at Hospice of West Alabama. A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, June 8, 2025, at Norwood-Wyatt Funeral Home in Fayette, Alabama at 3:00 pm. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Bro. Ricky Cargile will be officiating the service. Norwood-Wyatt Chapel will be directing the service.

Johnny is preceded in death by his grandmother, Dora Crawford, his parents Erbie & Dorothy Crawford, and sister Peggy Patchen.

He is survived by his daughter, Chastity Johnson of Vernon and son, Casey Crawford (Jamie) of Fayette. His grandchildren Courtney Perkins (Justin), Sidney Parker (Hank), Lyndsey Johnson, and Clayton Crawford as well as five great grandchildren Lawson, Bryleigh, Tatum, Layla Kate Perkins and Stella Parker. He also had a very special friend, Jane Dudley, who was with him until the end.

Johnny was born on September 28, 1954, in Vernon, Alabama to the late Erbie and Dorothy Crawford. He graduated high school in 1972 from Lamar County High School. Most of his career was spent in Industrial Maintenance and Welding. He retired from ZF Industries and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and working in the garden. He loved spending time with his children and anything pertaining to the great outdoors.

The family would like to acknowledge and thank the doctors and nurses in TSICU at DCH, as well as Hospice of West Alabama.
