Johnnie Logan

June 20, 1925 — July 9, 2019

Johnnie Lou Logan, age 94, of Guin, Alabama, passed away in her home on July 9, 2019, following a long illness. She was a loving mother, wife, and a Christian woman. Services will be Friday, July 12, 2019 at 12:00 p.m. at Guin Church of Christ with Norwood-Wyatt Chapel Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at the church. Burial will follow at West Alabama Memorial Gardens Cemetery.   Mrs. Logan was born June 20, 1925, the daughter of Harlie and Ethel Loden of Winfield, Alabama. She had five sisters and a brother, all of whom preceded her in death.     Mrs. Logan was married to B.C. Logan, Jr. “Buddy” in 1947, and they raised three sons, Bruce Wayne (Kathie), Benjamin David (Bonita), and Clarence Timothy (Judi).  Following Buddy's death in 1977, Mrs. Logan married J.C. Logan “Jake” in 1987, who passed away in 2015. In addition to her sons and their spouses, she is survived by six grandchildren, Heath, Chris, Blair, Cameron, Joshua, and Adam; and four great-grandchildren, Connor, Sarah Beth, Lily, and Henry. She also leaves behind many close and dear friends as well as extended family.     She worked for Health Tex in Guin for 25 years and was a member of the Church of Christ in Guin and Haleyville. She had a love of her job and coworkers. Johnnie Lou enjoyed walking through the woods, working outdoors, cooking (especially fried pies), visiting with family and friends, and solving "word find" puzzles.   The family would like to express gratitude to Dr. Shelby Sanford and members of Alabama Hospice for their loving and diligent care.    Active and honorary pallbearers will be Adam Logan, Blair Logan, Heath Logan, Chris Logan, Don Chamblee, Don Baker, and Mikee Wallace.
