John Spencer Jenkins

John Spencer Jenkins, age 71 of Belk passed away January 16, 2021 at home. Services will be Monday, January 17, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Norwood Wyatt Chapel with Rev. Rick Cargile officiating. Burial will follow at Antioch Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. He was preceded in death by his parents, Chelcie and Pearlie Jenkins; brothers, Waymon Jenkins and Walter Jenkins; and sister Ola Mae Gilreath. Survivors include his daughter, Leiann McCrackin (J.J.); sons, Justin Jenkins (Venus), Josh Jenkins (Amber), and Jessie Jenkins (Elizabeth); sister, Rachel Fields; sister-in-law, Louise Jenkins; and grandchildren, Hayden Jenkins, Ella Kate Jenkins, Easton Jenkins, Tyler Jenkins, Peyton Jenkins, Corbett McCrackin, Casen McCrackin, and Jordan McCrackin. John grew up in Fitzgerald Georgia before joining the Army and serving his country in Vietnam. After serving in the military, he moved to Fayette and was employed by City Glass and also later worked at American Glass in Columbus. Honorary pallbearers are Willis McGuff, Greg Logan, Marty Gilreath, Malcom Gilreath, Heath Wallace, Charlie Dale Jones, and employees and staff at Belk Kountry Kitchen (Roxanne).
