Rev. John Hassell

Rev. John David Hassell, age 73 of Fayette, passed away Thursday, May 9, 2019 at home. Services will be Monday, May 13, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Norwood-Wyatt Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Brasher officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Meadow Branch Cemetery. Mr. Hassell was preceded in death by his stepchild, Allen Parks. He is survived by his wife, Methusellah Hassell; stepchildren, James Parks (April), Adine Watkins (Punkin), Grover Parks (Rena). Danny Parks (Kim), Lisa Rinehart (Scott), Orland Birmingham (Marcy), and Monica Miele (Cameron); sisters, Eleanor Lee, Angela Hannah (William), Shirley Mureen (Ralph), and Shirley Corkerin (William); brothers, Dennis Hassell (Cherryl), and James Brand; twenty-five grandchildren and thirty-seven great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Orland Birmingham, Steven Davidson, Richard Westbrook, Bradley Watkins, Blake Westbrook, and Art Fraizer.
