Jimmy Holsonback Sr.

Jimmy J. Holsonback, sr., age 88 of Kennedy, passed away Saturday, December 10, 2022, at Arbor Woods in Reform, AL. There will be a private family service on December 12, 2022, at Norwood Wyatt Chapel with Rev. Jeff Long officiating. Born October 25, 1934, in Kennedy, AL to the late Albert Benton and Gussie House Holsonback. He was a life-long resident of Kennedy. He loved his family, farming, hunting, fishing, and Alabama football. He retired from Kerr- McGee after 32+ years of service. He was an army Veteran stationed in Fort Richardson Anchorage, Alaska and served 2+ years. He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters Blanche Hydrick (Howard) and Laudice Junkins (Boots). He is survived by his son Jimmy Joe Holsonback (Donna); grandchildren, Jana Black (Dexter), Julie Holsonback, and Jay Holsonback; great grandchildren, Keegan and Kullen Black; and nieces and nephews, and a host of close friends.
