James Matthew Watkins

James Matthew Watkins, age 40 of Fayette passed away Wednesday, October 23, 2019. There will be a private service for the family.  He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Myrtle Lee Watkins and father, Eugene Watkins. Mr. Watkins is survived by his wife, Shelly Strickland; daughter, Reagan Lee Watkins; mother, Annie Faye Watkins; sister, Regina Driver (Joseph); three brothers, Dwight Watkins, Jayson Watkins (Sara), and Allen Watkins (Barbara). Matthew Watkins was a loving father and husband. He will be missed greatly by his family and friends. Mr. Watkins was a hard worker, resilient, and overcame many tragedies. He persevered and was a supportive mentor. He cared very deeply for people. Matthew loved his daughter, Reagan with all his heart.
