James Willie Dobbins

James Willie Dobbins, age 74, passed away Monday, March 5, 2018 at Northport DCH. Services will be Friday, March 9, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Norwood-Wyatt Chapel. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Bankhead Cemetery. He was preceded in death by his parents, Therla M. Dobbins and Pinkie Pruitt Jackson; sister, Etta Mae “Puggie” Jackson; and son, James Charleston Dobbins. James is survived by his wife, Deborah Ann Dobbins of Tuscaloosa, AL; daughter, LaShonia Marquez of Atlanta, GA; sons, David Martin Dobbins (Jan) of Tuscaloosa, Gerard Dobbins (Katrina) of Tuscaloosa, Michael Wayne Townley (Yang) of Tuscaloosa and Cortez O’neal Burney of Atlanta, GA; sister, Sally Meeks (Tony) of Fayette and Racheal Coleman of Vernon; brothers, Johnny Wayne “Mickey” Jackson of Montgomery and James “Pee Wee” Jackson (Charlotte) of Fayette; grandchildren, Javares Dobbins, Ashley Dobbins-Stewart, Brittney Dobbins-Taylor, Mark Williams, Camille Dobbins, Sayler Cochran, Jalen Dobbins; a host of great grandchildren; and long-time friends and neighbors, Anthony Bradford and James “Train” Knox. Pallbearers are Brandon Meeks, Denny Driver, Louis Cannon, Jerderal Meeks, Curtis Lipsey and Marcus Cannon.
