He practiced landscape architecture with his own firm in Lake Charles, LA until 1979. He had a passion for building and using his hands, so he set his sights on construction. He worked his way to project manager in General Contracting firms in Rome, GA, Houston, TX, and Los Angeles, CA. He returned to Mississippi State to earn his Bachelor of Architecture degree in 1990. He worked for firms in Montgomery and Huntsville before striking out on his own in 2000 returning to Fayette to raise his children and serve his community. He worked here to serve, few clients were turned away and city and county projects were provided at little or no fee. He loved this place and the people in it. Pallbearers are Rodger Snyder, Stephen Fowler, Danny Miller, Tony Rickert, Harry Unger and Justin White.
