Jackie Dwayne Watkins

Jackie Dwayne Watkins, age 63 of Fayette, passed away Friday, March 19, 2021. Graveside Service will be Tuesday, March 23, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Boone Cemetery in Tuscaloosa, AL. The body will lie in state Monday, March 22, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Norwood-Wyatt Chapel Funeral Home. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Myrtle Watkins. Mr. Watkins is survived by his son; Trint Watkins (Kim); Brother Larry Watkins (Julie); grandchildren Alex Watkins and Skylar Higginbottom; nieces, Jamie and Amy Daniel; and great niece Kaitlyn Harris. Mr. Watkins was a lifelong resident of Fayette County and worked in the Maintenance Department DCH Medical Center in Fayette for over 20 years. He also honorably served in the National Guard. He loved fishing, hunting, gardening and being outdoors. He was well loved by his community. He will always be remembered as a loving father and uncle. He will be greatly missed by all. In Lieu of Flower donations may be made to Boone Cemetery.
