Gail Belk

Gail G. Belk, age 80 of Belk, Alabama, passed away on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at Fayette Medical Center in Fayette, Alabama. Service for Mrs. Belk will be Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at the Belk Freewill Baptist Church in Belk, Alabama, at 02:00 p.m. Visitation will be Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at the Belk Freewill Baptist Church in Belk, Alabama from 12:00 p.m. - 02:00 p.m. Burial will follow at the Oak Ridge Cemetery in Fayette, Alabama. Norwood-Wyatt Chapel will be directing the service.

Mrs. Belk is preceded in death by her beloved husband; Ricky Belk, parents; Jim Ed and Ruth Gilpin, grandson; Carson Maddox.

She is survived by her son; Rick Belk, daughter; Jennifer Maddox (Chad), brother; James Gilpin (Shelia), sisters; Barbara Sullivan, Jimmie Nell Hudson (Olen), grandchildren; Courtney Brown (Colby), Taylor Harris (Jordy), Chase Maddox, Caden Maddox, great-grandchildren; Cami Harris, Kyler Brown, Sawyer Brown.

Gail was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend. Anyone that every met her loved her. She was a resident of Belk, Alabama and an avid member of the Belk Freewill Baptist Church for most of her life. Gail graduated from Kennedy High School in 1963 and married the love of her life in 1967. She will be truly missed by everyone who ever met her and her sweet spirit.

Pallbearers will be Phillip Carroll, Fred Yerby, Ralph Carroll, Sam Henderson, David Glasgow, Don Byars.
