Elaine, aka Fred, a graduate of Tuscaloosa County High School and Druid City Hospital School of Nursing, devoted her life to serving others.  As a Registered Nurse, she had the pleasure of bringing new babies to friends and family, to taking care of those when waking up from surgery.  A very outgoing individual being heavily involved in many associations and organizations including the Alabama Association of Post Anesthesia Nurses and West End Christian Band Boosters.  She received many awards for her service.  She loved her animals, including the horses, which opened a new world of family, travel, and a few “ouches” along the way.  She devoted herself to her daughter, Myra, providing for her every want and need being both Mom and Dad.  What brought her the most joy was becoming a “Mom” to so many.
