Edna Tidwell, age 85, of Winfield, Alabama, passed away on Monday, February 09, 2026, at Fayette Long Term Care. Services for Mrs. Tidwell will be Thursday, February 12, 2026, at Norwood-Wyatt Chapel, at 2:00 p.m. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time. Burial will follow at Spring Hill Cemetery. Norwood-Wyatt Chapel will be directing the service.

Edna is preceded in death by husband; Eugene Tidwell, Father; Reed Crenshaw, and mother; Bessie Crenshaw.

She is survived by her daughter; Debbie (Stephen) Byars Hughes of Mooreville, MS, son; Joey (Linda) Allen Byars of Fayette, AL, sisters; Dora Ann Crenshaw and Katie Hagon of Kentucky, grandchildren; Ashley (Jon) Byars, Andrea (Michael) Gibson, Hanna (Austin) Haynes, Crystal (Nick) Kaiser, and Aleah Byars, and great grandchildren; Waverly Mae Gibson, Simmons Lee Gibson, Easton Gaige McCollum, Lila Josephine Kaiser, and Reign Lucille Kaiser.

Edna Tidwell was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a faithful member of Harmony Grove Baptist Church and found joy in quilting, gardening, and sewing. Above all, she cherished spending time with her family and looked forward to sharing fellowship with friends at the senior citizens’ daily lunch.
