Dorothy McClure

July 5, 1941 — December 10, 2022

Ann McClure, age 81, of Fayette, AL passed away on December 10, 2022 in her room at Mornigview Estates surrounded by her family and adopted family, the Morningview staff. Funeral services will be 11:00am, Saturday January 7 at Norwood-Wyatt Funeral Home with her grandson Bro. Will Byars officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. She was preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years, Donald McClure; parents James William (Bill) and Julia McClure; her son Mike McClure; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Survivors include her two children, son, Mark McClure (Bobby Jo); her daughter, Jill Byars (Richie); six grandchildren, Daryenne Eads (Chris), Will Byars (Riley), Cheyenne McClure, Rilee Byars, Julyenne McClure, and John Branyon McClure; five great-grandchildren, Christenne Jewel, Harrisen Dale, and Don Lawsen Eads; Maverick Tillotson; and Lottie Grace Byars. Her brother Earl McClure (Alison); nieces and nephews, Guerin McClure (Mary), Summer Wynn (Browning), Hope Sypert (Bud), and Georgia Tahan (Peter); and many great-nieces and nephews. Ann was born July 5, 1941, in Hubbertville, AL and attended 13 different schools in various states including: South Carolina, Virginia, and Florida before eventually graduating from of Sheffield High School in her home state of Alabama. She was a faithful member of First Assembly of God in Fayette, AL, where she taught the Little Lambs Sunday School class for many years. She cherished the Word of God, and the only people she enjoyed teaching the Bible to more than her Little Lambs was her family. One of her favorite Bible verses was, III John 1:4, “I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.” She loved the Lord and lived her life in faithful service to Him. Her family is comforted by the life she lived and the example she set for them to follow. Honorary pallbearers will be the Morningview Estates residents and staff. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to the Kaleb Owens Scholarship Fund.
