Danny Mattison, age 79, of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, passed away on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at Hospice of West Alabama. Services for Mr. Mattison will be Friday, August 14, 2026, at 12:00 p.m., at Taylorville Baptist Church. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. -12:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Tuscaloosa Memorial Park. Norwood-Wyatt Chapel will be directing the service.

Danny is preceded in death by his parents; Pauline “Sally” Mattison and Winford Mattison (Margie), and brother; Bobby Mattison.

He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years; Cherry Mattison, daughters; Kim Lancaster (Steve), Julie Wyatt (Lance), sons; Jason Mattison (Jamie), Cory Bingham (Amy), brothers; Winford “J.R.” Mattison (Sarah), Paul Mattiosn (Debbie), grandchildren; Elijah Lancaster (Grace), Ashley McMeans (Adam), Bryan Bingham (Kirsten), Hannah Lancster, Cade Wyatt (Laney), Braydon Bingham (Ashtin), Cameron Wyatt (Brook), Ainsley Channel (Chase), Riley McCann, Macen McCann, great-grandchildren; Ezra Kiefer, Julia McMeans, Paisley Steele, Blaire Bingham, Lincoln Lancaster, Ann Carter Wyatt, John Michael Bingham, Liam Channel, and Hutton Herring.

Pallbearers will be; Elijah Lancaster, Cade Wyatt, Braydon Bingham, Cameron Wyatt, Chase Channell, Chad Skelton.

Honorary Pallbearers will be; Faith Fellowship Sunday School Class, Prayer Sisters, Dr. Sai Nimmagadda, Dr. Anusha Kamagalu, Staff of Hospice of West Alabama.

Danny Wayne Mattison was born on March 13th, 1947 and passed on august 12th, 2026. He was a loving husband and a man who loved his children, grands, and great-grands deeply. He was a man, who through hard work and dedication, built Warrior Business Machines from the ground up. His business built solely on his dedication to providing for others. He would give his last dollar to a complete stranger. But not just dollars – lovingly known as the “Quarter Man” – you can be assured he’s pulling quarters from behind little one’s ears now. With his faith and love for the lord, we all can rejoice in knowing that we will see him again. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and his community.

In lieu of flowers, the family ask that any donations be given to St. Judes as it was his favorite charity.
