Crystal Buster Corey, age 84, of Northport, Alabama, passed away on Sunday, May 31, 2026, at Hospice of West Alabama. Services for Mrs. Corey will be Wednesday, June 03, 2026, at Bethel Baptist Church, in Ralph, Alabama, at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Philip Simpson will be officiating the service. Norwood-Wyatt Chapel will be directing the service.
Mrs. Corey is preceded in death by her parents; Clarence Huge Buster and Thelma Louise Buster.
She is survived by her husband; James Levy Corey of Northport, daughters; Rebekah Corey (Daryl) Ensor of Northport, and Ruth Corey (Philip) Simpson of Northport, sisters; Shirley (Keith) Wilson of Alton, IL, and Beverly Prater of Tuscaloosa, grandchildren; Darla (Mike) Braswell of Daphne, April (Eric) Saulsgiver of Huntsville, Ben Ensor of Tuscaloosa, Corey (Hanna) Ensor of Buhl, Rachel (Ryan) Maloof-Rogers of Winder, GA, Justin (Cassidy) Simpson of Northport, great grandchildren; Alicia (James) Dudley of Daphne, Hudson Davis of Seattle, WA, Kinley Braswell of Daphne, Emery Braswell of Daphne, Joseph Saulsgiver of Huntsville, Caden Saulsgiver of Huntsville, Charli Ensor of Montevallo, Bella Ensor of Northport, Emmie Ensor of Northside, Cooper Ensor of Tuscaloosa, Sawyer Ensor of Buhl, Shepherd Ensor of Buhl, Darci Rogers of Winder, GA, JP Simpson of Northport, Hazel Simpson of Northport, and great-great grandchildren; Theo Dudley of Daphne.
Crystal Corey stepped into the arms of Jesus on Sunday morning, May 31, 2026, at 4:28 a.m. She was born to loving parents who brought her up in church and taught her about the love of Jesus. When she graduated from high school, she left for Bible College, where she met her husband, Levy Corey. After their college graduation, their ministry for the Lord began She served the Lord as a Pastor’s wife and executive secretary for over 60 years. She touched so many lives along the way, and will be remembered as a friend to all who knew her. She was a praying mom, a loving wife, a fantastic grandmother and great grandmother, the best cook around, and one who could make a craft out of anything! She has served her Lord well, and now she is pain-free, and enjoying the heavenly reunion that she has been so looking forward to. We love you, mom!!
Pallbearers will be Daryl Ensor, Ben Ensor, Corey Ensor, Justin Simpson, and Cooper Ensor.
