Charles Richard Pearce

Charles Richard Pearce, age 70 of Tuscaloosa, passed away Wednesday, February 9, 2022. Services will be held Saturday, February 12, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at Christ Episcopal Church with Rev Paul Pradat officiating. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Pearce III and Phyllis McCue Pearce. Mr. Pearce is survived by his wife of 49 years, Elizabeth Cunningham Pearce; daughters, Elizabeth Pearce Morgan (Edward Jackson) and Mary Pearce Benfield (Stephen Tyler); son, Davis Clarkson Pearce; sister, Anne Pearce DeAngelo; eight grandchildren, Miller Cunningham Pearce, Davis Clarkson Pearce, Jr., Emmaline Cantrell Pearce, William Dodge Pearce, Elizabeth Frances Benfield, Mary Jane Morgan, Charles Pearce Morgan and William Jackson Morgan. He was born February 14, 1951 in Mobile, Alabama where he was a 1969 graduate of Davidson High school. Mr. Pearce was a 1972 graduate of the University of Alabama where he was a member of Sigma Chi fraternity. He was the owner of Pearce Trucking, Inc. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Christ Episcopal Church in Tuscaloosa or to a charity of your choice.
