Billy Joe Wright, Jr.

Billy Joe Wright, Jr. age 64 of Tuscaloosa, formerly of Rainbow City, passed away Friday, September 21, 2018 at Hospice of West Alabama. There will be a memorial service Sunday, September 23, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Tuscaloosa with Dr. Gil McKee officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Billy Joe Wright and Mable Ruth Wright and his daughter, Heather Wright Glenn. Mr. Wright is survived by his wife, Lisa Wright; sons, Nicholas Wright (Jennifer), Michael Wright (Lindsey); grandchildren, Jackson and Audrey Ann all of Tuscaloosa; brothers, Donnie Wright (Cathy) of Anniston, David Wright of Tennessee and Jimmy Wright of Nashville; and a host of nieces and nephews. He was a loving husband, father, and “Papa Joe”. He graduated from Gadsden High School in 1972 and was a business owner at JNJ Associates for thirty-five years. He loved all his employees like his family. He was a member of Meadowbrook Baptist Church and an honorary member of Theta Chi Fraternity at the University of Alabama.
