Marie Sanders Kratohvil

Marie Sanders Kratohvil, age 85 of Sumiton passed away June 3, 2017 at DCH Medical Center.  Services will be Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Norwood-Wyatt Chapel.  Interment will follow at Wesley Chapel Cemetery.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Marie was born and raised in Fayette County. She has lived in Walker County for the last twenty five years.  She was an avid gardener, she loved spending time working in her flower garden and she especially enjoyed sitting and watching the birds in her yard. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gus Sanders and Jessie Sanders Foster; sisters, Mildred Watkins and Myrlee Newman; infant son, William Taylor; and former husbands and the fathers of her children, Harry Wallace and J.T. Taylor. Survivors include her husband, Billy Kratohvil; daughter, Janice Weathers (Ronnie); son, Jeff Taylor (Bonna); brother, James Rayford Sanders (Nannette); grandchildren, Leslie Davis (Sandy). Shelley Weathers, Ashley Todd (Kevin), April Hall (Edward), Shonna McFerrin, Blake Taylor and Clay Taylor (Maria); and great-grandchildren, Landon, Garrett, Dalton, Greyson, Jake, Roman, Tiffany and Cody; and a host of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Blake and Clay Taylor, Kevin Todd, Sandy Davis, Landon and Garrett Swindle, Brandon Muir and Cody Hall. Honorary pallbearers are Earl Criswell and her caretakers, Carrie Wingo, Brenda O’Gwin and Desi Robins.
