Leegie Hollingsworth

Leegie Hollingsworth departed this life on April 3, 2017 at the age of 79. Services will be Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church at 11:00 a.m. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the services. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Leegie Mae Hollingsworth was born to the late Ella Mae Bishop and Leegie Hollingsworth, July 4, 1937. She is also preceded in death by her sister, Venora Hollingsworth and brother, Ralph Hollingsworth. She leaves to mourn and cherish her memories: her sister, Nita Faye Pole; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and special caregiver Theresa Robinson and special cousin Reshay Campbell. Ms. Hollingsworth was born and raised in Berry, AL. She relocated to New York in the late 1960’s and worked as a house keeper. She later retired and moved to Birmingham to be closer to relatives about twenty years ago. She enjoyed barbequing and being with her family. Pallbearers are her family members.
