Johnny D. Shirley

John “Johnny” D. Shirley, age 65 of Fayette, passed away Monday, January 16, 2017 at Fayette Medical Center. Services will be Friday, January 20, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Norwood-Wyatt Chapel, officiating will be Rev. David Wilson and Rev. Robert Cobb. Visitation will be Thursday, January 19, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. The body will lie in state on hour prior to the services. Interment will follow at New River Cemetery. He was preceded in death by his father, Woodson Shirley; mother, Mamie “Bass” Shirley; brothers, L.D. Bass and Junior Shirley; and sister, Mary Nell Bass. He is survived by his wife, Donna Shirley of Fayette; sons, Jesse Shirley (Racheal) of Fayette, Jody Shirley of Fayette and Justin Baumgartner (Danielle) of Fayette; brother, Jerry Shirley of Winfield; grandchildren, Sara Beth and Jessica Shirley of Fayette, Abigail Baumgartner, and Katie Steele of Fayette; and a host of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Terry Shirley, Joey Bass, Cullen Baumgartner, Dennis Aldridge, Jamie Farris and Jimmy Barnes.
