Oscar Watkins

Oscar Watkins, age 83 of Berry, passed away Thursday, January 5, 2017. Services will be Saturday, January 7 at 10:00 a.m. graveside at Shady Grove. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ann Watkins; son, Tim Watkins; brothers, Arthur Watkins, Henry Watkins, Lee Watkins, Troy Watkins; and parents, Virgil and Minnie Lee Watkins. He is survived by his daughters, JoAnn Swindle (Randall) of Northport and Wanda Box (Randy) of Berry; sisters, Virginia Wolderton of Houston, TX and Glenda Golden of Centerville, AL; brother, Roy Watkins (Mary) of Mississippi; grandchildren, Randy Joe, Leigh Ann Durrett, Katherine Swiney, Amanda Box and Tori Swindle; and one great granddaughter, Emilee Swindle. Oscar Watkins was a person in which the community knew well. He was an active person at the Berry Civic Center where he enjoyed playing guitar, singing, and playing dominos. Oscar was a God-fearing man that absolutely adored his family.
