Nell Dean Watkins, age 85, of Fayette, passed away November 8, 2016 at Morningview Estates. Services will be Saturday, November 12, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church in Berry with Brother Steve Spray officiating. Interment will follow at Fayette Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Jackson Watkins; brothers, Vaughn, Millard, Cliff, and Olen Kimbrell; and sisters, Nora Knight, Flossie Willcutt, and Carrie Nelson. Survivors include her daughter, Dorothy Nell Holloway (Larry); sons, Clyde Jackson Watkins (Jan) and Charles Ray Watkins (Constance); sisters, LaVonne Madison (Jimmy) and Kathy Sands (James); grandchildren, Lee Smith, Pam Ebert, Alan Holloway, Jennifer Fahrner, Sarah Grimm, David Adams, Karen Evans and Denise Watkins; and nineteen great-grandchildren. Nell Dean Kimbrell was born in Fayette County May 17, 1931. She married Clyde J. Watkins and they were married for over fifty years. In 1952 Clyde and Nell moved to Park City, Illinois to seek employment. After 31 years both Clyde and Nell returned to make their home in Berry, Alabama. Clyde and Nell had three children and eight grandchildren with nineteen great-grandchildren. Nell was loved and will be dearly missed by all. Pallbearers will be James Knight, Thomas Fields, Jimmy Madison, James Sands, Andy Howton, and Roger Kimbrell.
