Kathryn Deavours

Kathryn Ray Deavours, age 88 of Berry passed away August 24, 2016. Services will be Monday, August 29, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Philadelphia Baptist Church Cemetery with Norwood-Wyatt Chapel directing. Visitation will be from 1:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Monday at the church. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, H.D. “Dub” Deavours; brother, Norman Ray; and sister, Frances Woods. Survivors include daughter, Patsy Deavours Compton (Dave), Berry; sisters, Louise Davis of Bessemer and Martha Cole of Ohio; grandchildren, Kim Carter (Ed) and Jeremy Morris (Kristy); great-grandchildren, Haley Everett (Janssen) of Northport, Keri Morris and Josie Morris, Kodiak, Alaska; and great-great granddaughter, Piper Everett. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to a charity close to Kathryn’s heart, The American Cancer Society.
