Marie Vann

Marie Hollingsworth Vann, age 93, of Fayette, died August 13, 2016, at Fayette Long Term Care Facility. Services will be 11 a.m. Monday, August 15, 2016, at Norwood- Wyatt Chapel with Rev. Jeff Rutledge, Rev. Jimmy McNees and Rev. Terry Robinson officiating. Burial will follow in Fayette Memorial Gardens with Norwood- Wyatt Chapel Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Monday, August 15, 2016, at Norwood Wyatt Chapel Funeral Home. She was preceded in death by her husband, T. Nalls Vann. Survivors include her brother, Herb Hollingsworth (Mary) of Eldridge, Ala.; nieces, Julia Marie Coberly (Tony) of Huntsville, Ala. and Denise Ferguson of Annapolis, Md.; nephew, Wayne Hollingsworth (Serita) of Decatur, Ala.; great niece, Cassie Coberly of Huntsville, Ala.; great nephew, David Hollingsworth of Birmingham, Ala.; and a host of other relatives. Mrs. Vann taught school in Hubbertville, Ala. where she was beloved by her students. After marriage she moved to Huntsville where she was very active in various civic organizations. She was named Woman of the Year. She was loved very much by her family. Honorary pallbearers are Oris and Staff of Fayette Medical Center Long Term Care Facility.
