Hershel Smith

Hershel “Smitty” Smith, age 80 of Fayette passed away July 13, 2016 at Hospice of West Alabama. Services will be Friday, July15, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. at Norwood-Wyatt Chapel with Mr. Roger Colburn officiating and Norwood-Wyatt Chapel directing. Interment will follow at White Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home. He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Evelyn Smith; his parents, John Clifton and Geneva Porter Smith; and one brother, Arvil Smith. Survivors are his daughters, Angie Steiner (Greg) and Candace Ledbetter (Kevin) both of Rogers, Arkansas; sister, Rachel Wages; grandchildren, Sara, Morgan, Wyatt, Colby, Elijah, Presley, Chuck, David, Ethan, Hayden and Isabelle and three great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Justin Willis, Eric Nichols, Matthew Rushing, Roger Colburn, Buddy Laubscher, Johnny Odom and Donald Sudduth.
