Edward Aldridge

Ed Aldridge, age 86, of Fayette passed away April 29, 2016 at Fayette Medical Center. Funeral services will be Sunday, May 1, 2016 at 4:00 p.m. at Norwood-Wyatt Chapel with Rev. Randal Trimm officiating. Interment will follow in Cedar Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Aldridge was born July 23, 1929 and was a lifelong resident of Fayette. He served in the Korean War and was an employee of Dowdle Gas for 20 years and formerly worked for Anderson Service Company. He is survived by Carolyn Brasher Aldridge; sons, Dennis E. Aldridge and Randall E. Aldridge (Sheila); sister, Estelle Blaylock; brothers, Eugene Aldridge and C. T. Aldridge (Jerri); grandchildren, Melanie Webster (Chris), Mandy Brunk (Allen), Chad Aldridge (Bethany) , Clint Aldridge (Jill), Josh Aldridge and Stacy Williams (Brian); great-grandchildren, Erica Harville, Ezra Webster, Erin Harville, Emily Webster, Jordan Aldridge, Easton Aldridge, Levi Williams, Jacob Aldridge, Lily Williams, David Thomas Aldridge, Leah Williams, Hanna Aldridge, Ella-Brooke Aldridge and Jaylee Aldridge. He was preceded in death by daughter-in-law Joyce Aldridge and three sisters. Norwood-Wyatt Chapel directed.
