Woodrow "Woody" Roberts

Mr. Woodrow "Woody" Robets age 76 of Fayette passed away Wednesday April 20, 2016 at the Hospice of West Alabama in Tuscaloosa. Funeral Servcie will be Friday April 22, 2016 at 3:00pm at Norwood-Wyatt Chapel Funeral Home with Dr. Steve Strange officiating. Burial will follow in the Fayette Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00 until service time. Mr. Roberts was born in March 27, 1940 the son of the late Woodrow Wilson Roberts and Roberta Mae Culpepper Roberts. He was a life-long resident of Fayette and member of the Fayette First United Methodist Church. Woody own and operated Sports, Inc. in Fayette since 1970. He is survived by his wife, Elna Dobbs Roberts; daughters Amy (Kevin) Rhudy and Beverly Roberts; sister, Maury Anne Sanders; brother, Jud Roberts; grandchildren, Kayla (Jeremiah) Cole, Conner Rhudy, Sara Beth Rhudy and Luke Brown; and great-grandchild, Jase Parker Cole He was preceded in death by his sister, Millie Thomas Pallbearers will be Rick Hannah, Theron Nolen, Bob Renfroe, Gene Deal, Tommy Sickles and John Cross; Honorary pallbearers will be Wayne Daniel, Bill Robertson, George Bolling, Tommy Norwood Norwood-Wyatt Chapel Funeral Home, directing.
