Mrs. Myrtle Lowery Morrison, age 80 of Bankston, died Saturday, October 17, 2015 at UAB Hosptial. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 21 at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Church of God with Bro. Raymond Fowler and Bro. Richard Hawkins officiating. Burial will follow at Fayette Memorial gardens. Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 5:00 – 9:00 p.m. at the church. Mrs. Morrison was born November 07, 1934 in Fayette County, the daughter of the late Alva “Buster” Lowery and Pelina Perkins Lowery. She was a resident of Bankston for 41 years and was a member of Trinity Church of God. She was the secretary for Bud Morrison Logging. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Twana Gilbert and her grandchildren, Jonathon Odom and Blake Odom, two brothers, Buddy Lowery and Wendell Lowery. Mrs. Morrison is survived by her husband Joesph “Bud” Wesley Morrison, daughters Carolyn (Cecil) Odom of Bankston, Cathy (Ronny) Dunn of Fayette; sons Jerry (Barbara) Morrison of Reform, Allen (Janice) Morrison of Bankston, Ryan (Lindsay) Morrison of Bankston; Sisters Betty (Vaughn) Burroughs of Rainbow City, AL, Inez Hall of Opp, AL, Lois Sherrill of Fayette, Amy Lowery of Berry; one brother Ralph (Mona) Lowery of Cottondale; Twenty one grandchildren and twenty four great grandchildren. Pallbearers are Wesley Morrison, Nick Odom, Timothy Morrison, Matthew Morrison, Andrew Odom, Michael Odom, Daniel Morrison, Jordan Morrison, David Morrison and Ethan Morrison. Norwood Chapel of Fayette will be directing.
