Virginia Oden

Mrs. Virginia Lou Oden age 73 of Fayette passed away Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at the residence of her son, Sammy (Janice) Oden. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at Norwood Chapel Funeral Home with Bro. Carson Nichols and Bro. Larry Alexander officiating. Burial will follow in the Berea Church of Christ Cemetery. The visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 1:00-2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Oden was born June 5, 1942. She is the daughter of the late Frank and Ruby Haney Hill. She was a homemaker and a member of the Berea Church of Christ. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Oden, two sisters, Francis Whitehead and Nancy Stewart; four brothers, Frank Hill, Thomas Hill, Jimmy Hill and Billy Hill. Mrs. Oden is survived by one son, Sammy (Janice) Oden; three grandchildren, Jennifer (Carson) Nichols, Tiffany (Matt) Buckner and Samuel Oden; one great grandson, Noah Nichols; one sister, Elizabeth Evans; two brothers, Stanley Hill and Kenneth Hill. Honorary pallbearer is great grandson, Noah Nichols. Active pallbearers are Nicky Whitehead, Brad Whitehead, Matt Buckner and Julius Nichols.
